Curiosity about Jesus is not the same as commitment to Jesus.
In Week 2 of Handling Herod, we encounter Herod Antipas as Jesus stands before him during His trial. Herod had wanted to see Jesus for a long time. He had heard the stories, listened to the reports, and was fascinated by His miracles. Yet when Jesus stood right in front of him, Herod wasn't seeking truth—he was seeking entertainment.
He was curious...
But not committed.
He wanted a spectacle.
Not a Savior.
Many people are interested in Jesus, but interest alone is not enough. This message challenges us to move beyond curiosity and into genuine faith, surrender, and obedience. The greatest hindrance to spiritual growth is often mistaking fascination for transformation.
