What happens when a church stops praying safe prayers?

In Week 4 of Be Filled, we look beyond Acts 2 and into Acts 4, where the believers faced pressure, persecution, and opposition — yet instead of backing down, they prayed for boldness. And when they prayed, the place was shaken, they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with courage.

They didn’t pray for comfort.

They prayed for power.

They didn’t ask God to remove the pressure.

They asked Him to strengthen their witness.

Pentecost was never meant to end in the upper room. The same Spirit that filled the early Church still empowers believers today to stand boldly, live faithfully, and proclaim Jesus without fear.
