Jesus the Rescuer - Easter 2026
Portraits of the Savior | Jesus, The Rescuer | Easter Sunday
📖 Zechariah 9:11 | Matthew 27:51–53 | Ephesians 4:8–10
This is the story of rescue.
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate more than an empty tomb — we celebrate a Savior who came to set captives free. From the prophecy in Zechariah to the moment the veil was torn in Matthew 27, we see the power of Jesus’ death and resurrection breaking chains, opening graves, and making a way where there was none.
He didn’t just come to make life better…
He came to rescue.
Rescue from sin.
Rescue from death.
Rescue from separation.
Ephesians 4 reminds us that when Jesus ascended, He led captivity captive — declaring victory over everything that once held us bound.
This is not just history.
This is our story.
✝️ The Rescuer has come — and freedom is available today.
✝️ He took our place so we could have His life.
