We invite you to explore everything North Walhalla has to offer for you and your children. From our Bible-centered curriculum to our Children’s Church program, North Walhalla’s NW Kids Ministry is a safe, fun, and Christ-centered place for your children to grow in the Lord.
Scripture teaches how important it is that we pass on God’s truths to our children. There is no greater gift we can give them. To give them Jesus is to give them all that God’s promises hold for us. Our goal at North Walhalla is grounded in that principle.
Whether you’re a parent, a dedicated servant, or a visitor to our ministry, you’ll find Jesus in everything we do. Rhonda Addis is the Christian Education Director, and will be happy to assist you in selecting the most appropriate classes for your children.
North Face Youth is the youth ministry of the North Walhalla Church of God. We meet each Wednesday night at 7:00pm in the youth sanctuary. Our services are geared toward youth in grades 7-12. Each service is designed to draw young people into a close relationship with God. We accomplish this through fellowship, worship in singing, and Christ-centered teaching.
We also strive to involve young people in Christ-centered activities that encourage relationship building with other Christian teenagers. We do this by providing service projects, camping trips, Shabbach Winter retreat, attending local sporting events, and other various fun activities throughout the year.
The Women’s Ministry is a key component of our church. Through committees and other volunteer opportunities, our ladies take care of important needs such as providing food for the bereaved, and preparing for special meals and events such as homecoming.
It is our desire to reach today’s woman with the all-sufficient message of the life-changing Word of God. Using Bible studies, retreats, conferences, special events, and articles, we seek to reach all women inside and outside the church.
The abundant life in Christ expressed in John 10:10 defines how many North Walhalla senior adults are living their lives. Under the direction of Raymond and Romelle Loudermilk, the senior adult ministry seeks to provide opportunities for our senior adults to interact with each other and the community through monthly fellowships and various outings. This provides opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship with one another, and reaching lost and unchurched senior adults in the community.
Our Men’s Ministry is helping to build up our relationship with Christ and each other through monthly fellowships that feature a Bible study along with a time of prayer. Of course, our fellowships would not be complete without food, either. The Men’s Ministry is headed up by Tony Hester.
The College and Career group is dedicated to providing Godly instruction and fellowship for collage age and young career-minded individuals. Led by Chris and Whitney Burton, this group has a great time together at special retreats and other activities which encourage spiritual responsibility and leadership.
This dynamic group of young individuals will be the next leaders in our community, and the group strives to provide that spiritual guidance needed in these ever-changing times.
North Walhalla Church of God was established in 1914 as the first Church of God in South Carolina. Our church is a part of the Church of God with international headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee.
